STURGEON BAY — Sherman Johnson landed the 21.5 pound brown trout on the first day of 2022 Bailey’s Harbor Brown Trout Tournament, and it was enough to take the top prize.
The 33-inch monster was caught in Sturgeon Bay and weighed-in by Johnson and Earl Degeneffe Thursday at Howie’s Tackle.
Johnson won the $1,000 top prize.
The second-place prize of $600 went to Matt Andersen who caught his fish in Egg Harbor and third place went to James Hogan who caught his fish in Sturgeon Bay.
