ELLISON BAY — The Wickman House restaurant, a semifinalist for a James Beard dining award earlier this year, is now up for sale.

According to a real estate listing from Shorewest Realtors, the restaurant on Mink River Road in Ellison Bay is selling for $989,000.

In late January, the Wickman House was named semifinalist for outstanding restaurant by the James Beard Foundation.

The James Beard Outstanding Restaurant Award is presented to a restaurant that demonstrates consistent excellence in food, atmosphere, hospitality, and operations, while contributing positively to its broader community, according to a news release.

According to the listing, “all that is needed now is a new owner to take over with their own vision.”

“Make this your very own restaurant, bed and breakfast, wedding and event venue, retreat center, or your personal residence,” it read.

The property includes 4.6 acres including 2 seasonal cabins, a fully equipped restaurant, bar and dining room, a screened-in porch, a complete gazebo bar, vegetable and flower gardens, greenhouse, and 3 stall garage.

There are 9 guest rooms and 2 baths on the 2nd floor as well as 4 bedrooms, 1 bath and kitchenette on the 3rd floor – plenty of rooms for guests and visitors.
