DOOR COUNTY — If you follow any of the Door County Facebook groups, you know the most popular question year-after-year is, “what are the must-dos while I am there?”

So with the explosion of Artificial Intelligence, we thought we’d find out what a computer generated list would look like.

Here are the Top 10 must dos, according to Google’s Gemeni:

  1. Explore Door County’s Historic Lighthouses. Door County is home to 11 historic lighthouses, each with its own unique story. You can climb to the top of some of the lighthouses for stunning views of the lake, or take a boat tour to get a closer look.
  2. Go on a Door County Winery Tour or Beer Garden Hopping. Door County is a haven for wine and beer lovers, with over 50 wineries, breweries, and cideries to choose from. You can take a guided tour or map out your own self-guided adventure.
  3. Visit Washington Island. Washington Island is a car-ferry ride away from Door County and is known for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and historic sites. You can rent a bike or moped to explore the island, go kayaking or fishing, or visit the Rock Island State Park.
  4. Hike and Bike the Scenic Trails. Door County has over 250 miles of hiking and biking trails, winding through forests, along the coast, and through orchards. Peninsula State Park is a great place to start, with trails for all levels.
  5. Spend a Day at Peninsula State Park. Peninsula State Park is the crown jewel of Door County, with stunning scenery, miles of hiking and biking trails, sandy beaches, and a historic lighthouse. You can also camp, fish, or boat in the park. Don’t forget to go up the newly rebuilt and accessible Eagle Tower.
  6. Go Kayaking or Paddleboarding. Kayaking and paddleboarding are great ways to explore Door County’s coastline and get up close to the lighthouses, sea caves, and other natural wonders. You can rent kayaks or paddleboards from a number of outfitters in the area.
  7. Have a Beach Day. Door County has many beautiful beaches, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and building sandcastles. Some of the most popular beaches include School House Beach, Whitefish Dunes State Park, and Egg Harbor Beach.
  8. Visit a Door County Maritime Museum. The Door County Maritime Museum is a great place to learn about the history of shipping and shipbuilding in Door County. The museum has exhibits on shipwrecks, lighthouses, and the lives of the people who worked on the Great Lakes.
  9. Shop at Unique Boutiques and Art Galleries. Door County is home to many talented artists and craftspeople. You can find their work in boutiques and art galleries throughout the county.
  10. Enjoy a Delicious Door County Fish Boil. A Door County fish boil is a traditional way of cooking whitefish over an open fire. The fish is served with boiled potatoes, onions, and melted butter. You can find fish boils at many restaurants and resorts in Door County.
