BAILEY’S HARBOR — A 35.65 pound salmon is the current leader after day four of the 2021 K/D Salmon Tournament.

The current top catch goes to Cory Boellaard, who registered the fish Saturday in Bailey’s Harbor.

The annual amateur sport fishing tournament runs for nine consecutive days on Lake Michigan, wrapping up on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

Anglers compete off of the Kewaunee County/Door County shorelines for top prizes.

The winner with the heaviest salmon will get a check for $10,000 as well as a Great Lakes Trophy Fish Ring, and have their fish mounted for free.

Tickets are $25 for the full tournament or $13 for one-day and can be purchased in-person only at the following locations:

Accurate Marine & Tackle, both Algoma BP locations, Baileys 57, B&K Bait and Tackle @ Kap’s Marina, Center Court Convenience, Greystone Castle, Howie’s Tackle or JP Express at the intersection of STH 42 and Monument Point Road near Carlsville.
